And yes as with all aspects of life sometimes "stuff" happens which needs to be managed in the moment, this is where reading your dog can help prevent situations but it's not always possible. We aim to give you the tools to be able to deal with these moments (because they will happen) with confidence.

As with all training there are no quick fixes, it takes time, commitment and consistency, the rewards outweigh the effort and we are here to help you along the way.

So now its time for me to share my knowledge with you!

Hi, I’d like to introduce myself, I am Adrian and live with my wife Caroline and our two dogs, Tilly and Motsi.

I could start by telling you how I grew up with dogs and how they have always been a passion, while this is true the real truth is that it’s only the last few years I have taken the time to really understand them, their real needs, the benefits of training with positive reinforcement and how both the dogs and we as owners reap the rewards of training. Every dog regardless of the breed are individuals, they will each require different training methods, what works for one will not always work for another even if they are brother and sister, mother and son/daughter, I find it fascinating and highly addictive working out their personalities.

I am the proud owner of two working cocker spaniels (mother & daughter), yes they do have very different characteristics , they are both currently gun dog training along with scent work. I have completed the fantastic Sarah Whiteheads "Think Dog" course and continue with regular CPD to keep up to date with modern training methods. While we don’t use our dogs currently as working dogs the foundation training they’ve received has helped in all areas, it has been invaluable and is relevant to all breeds.
